About Us

Cherry Tree Academy Marham Junior is proudly located in the heart of the village of Marham, serving children from both the local community and beyond, including families from neighbouring counties. As a school with strong links to the Armed Forces community, we welcome many service children alongside children from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Our unique community is shaped by the movement of families throughout the year, and we understand the opportunities and challenges this can bring. Whether a child joins us on their very first day of primary school or arrives midway through their journey, we are committed to ensuring that they quickly feel welcomed, valued and part of our school family.

At Cherry Tree Academy, our vision is simple:

Everyone Matters; Everyone Belongs

We believe every child deserves to feel safe, respected and included. We are ambitious for all our pupils and strive to create a nurturing environment where children develop a love of learning, the confidence to embrace challenge and the character to make a positive difference in the world around them.

As one parent shared:

"They are a family. I wouldn't hesitate to discuss any concerns with them, they communicate well, they are engaging, and their learning methods have taken my adoptive children from shy, first-time schoolers to fun, outgoing and confident children. I can't thank them enough!"

Our vision is brought to life through our five core values:

Belonging

We create a culture where every child feels seen, heard and valued. Positive relationships, inclusion and mutual respect help children develop a strong sense of identity and connection within our school community.

"Children seem to be well looked after and encouraged to engage in all aspects of academic learning. There is a real sense of the teachers knowing each child individually and catering to their needs as much as is appropriate."

Curiosity

We inspire a love of learning by encouraging children to explore, question and discover. Through engaging lessons, enriching experiences and meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom, we help children develop a lifelong curiosity about the world around them.

"The children seem to really enjoy outdoor learning . There are lots of school trips throughout the year. The pastoral support room in the junior school is very good."

Growth

We believe every child can achieve and improve. By fostering resilience, perseverance and a growth mindset, we encourage children to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes and celebrate their progress.

Wellbeing

Children thrive when they feel safe, happy and supported. We place wellbeing at the heart of school life, ensuring that pupils are cared for academically, socially and emotionally so they can flourish both in school and beyond.

Responsibility

We help children develop the values and skills they need to make positive choices and contribute to their communities. Through leadership opportunities, teamwork and everyday interactions, pupils learn the importance of kindness, respect and integrity.

"Development of the whole child, not just academic targets. Prioritises learning the importance of good values and responsibilities in their community. Provides learning opportunities in a variety of settings (such as the woods) to create memorable and enjoyable learning experiences."

A Place to Thrive

At Cherry Tree Academy Marham Junior, our vision and values shape every aspect of school life. By ensuring that everyone matters and everyone belongs, we create a community where children feel valued, achieve their potential, develop strong character and create lasting memories as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.

We would be delighted to welcome you to our academy for a short visit to see us in action. Please contact the office to arrange an appointment with the Executive Leader by calling 01760 337346 or emailing junioroffice@cherrytreeacademy.norfolk.sch.uk.

For the academic year 2026-2027, we will be offering eight classes to accommodate the needs of our children. We strive to be as flexible as possible in organising our classes to best support each child's learning journey.
